Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Indoor Infrared wireless systems using pulse position modulation (PPM) CDMA can realize random access using the same wavelength, and are expected to realize high speed and capacity systems. In infrared wireless systems, the low power consumption is essential. Infrared wireless systems using PPM CDMA is one of the candidates, however only the fundamental pertormance has been clarified using correlation properties of sequences. In addition the performance had not been clarified in the presence of some noises, such as a thermal noise. This report analyzes the performance of the indoor infrared wireless systems using PPM CDMA where noises exist. Our results show that the performance of the system using PPM CDMA is superior to that of the system using on-off keying (OOK) CDMA.
