Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A variable data rate CDMA system without the aid of pilot signals is proposed for mobile and personal satellite communications. The proposed system is described, along with performance of the prototype equipment with the non-geostationary ETS-VI satellite at S-band 2.2/2.3GHz. The system works well in Doppler shift environment of non-geostationary satellite channels. Bit error performance under CDMA condition is proved to be greatly enhanced with FEC.
