Experiment of Power Line DS/SS Data Transmission using an IFM-V9 coded OL-PN sequence

Abstract(in English) We have already proposed a spreading sequence, referred to as an IFM-V9 coded OL-PN (Overlapped PN) sequence, that is suitable for baseband DS/SSMA systems. We have considered applying it to power line data transmission systems by computer simulation. Now we are implementing it on the real power line to improve the accuracy of the simulation results, and finished data transmission and despreading functions, where the despreading function is on an of-line system. In this paper, the results of those functions are reported. And furthermore, we implemented FSK based modems using a commercial IC specialized for power line, and examined bit error performances. The results are also reported, aimed to compare the performance of DS/SS systems with that of FSK systems in the future.
