Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an optimal transmission scheme for spatial data in object-oriented geographical information systems. We show an integer programming formulation of the problem, and then present a greedy-based algorithm to obtain approximated feasible solution. The proposed approach considers "the speed" rather than "the quality of solutions" since the former is more important in real-time distributed geographical information systems. Moreover, some computation examples are shown in which the algorithm is implemented on an object-oriented GIS.
