Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dynamical nature of atomic motion in a graphite crystal cell is investigated from the information theoretic standpoint with time series analysis about numerical solutions of molecular dynamics simulation based on a set of Langevin's equations and of Newton's equations both including a particular class of Tersoff's potential. In both cases the atomic motion exhibits a decay of the average mutual information with time. These observations may be interpreted as a signature of microscopic dynamical instability in solid crystals.
