Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, IP telephony(VoIP) services which unifies data and voice transmission are becoming popular. Already, many VoIP services are provided and speech quality of VoIP is becoming concern. In this paper, we focus on admission control using probe flow to guarantee of speech quality. Generally, study of admission control is based on performance evaluation using simulation program. We implement admission control system and evaluate the performance in an experimental VoIP network. We show that it is possible to guarantee speech quality by using admission control. We also show that optimal value of probe packet bit rate is 24 kbps and a time required to measure packet loss rate is 1 second in a given network condition.
