A Study on Protocol, Implementation and Throughput Evaluation for Wireless Multi-hop LAN

Abstract(in English) Nowadays Wireless LAN is used extensively for enabling us to connect Internet easily. There is a new network concept called "Wireless Multi-hop LAN", which uses Wireless LAN and Wireless Multi-hop. There are Two methods for implementing WMLAN has been proposed, LAN Emulation and IP-in-IP Encapsulation. This paper considers protocols and implementation issues for each method. We have developed a simple prototype of a WMLAN model based on LAN Emulation. We have evaluated TCP throughput performance and round trip time of this prototype system.
