Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose the stabilized random early detection In and out, (SRIO) that is the efficient packet dropping mechanism for the assured forwarding (AF) service class in differentiated service. In our proposed model, the number of active flows in the router rs estimated for "IN" packets and "OUT" packets respectively. And the packet dropping probability is varied by the number of estimated active flows. We evaluate the packet loss probability in the router, throughput performance in the case that TCP is adapted to an upper layer, and Round trip time out in Random early detection in and out (RIO), Tail-Drop (TD) and SRIO by computer simulation. As a result we show SRIO can improve throughput and packet loss probability, compared to TD and RIO.
