Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Research of ad-hoc networks have become active, which realize communication between many and unspecified terminals temporarily gathered. Although omnidirectional antennas have been considered in conventional ad-hoc network researches, the usage of adaptive antennas is expected to lead efficient use of frequency and reduction of transmission power, and there is possibility to improve a performance of the networks. In this paper, we evaluate quantitatively the performance of multihop ad-hoc networks in case of using adaptive antennas for terminals, comparing with the case of omnidirectional antennas.
