Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently wireless ad-hoc network has attracted much attention as an autonomously formed network without infrastructure. Application of directed antennas or adaptive antennas to wireless ad-hoc network can improve the performance of this system though omni antennas are mainly supposed to be used in this network. In this paper, after the basic study on the difference of SINR for several types of antennas, we statistically estimate the number of possible connections in multi-node model where requests to send randomly occur. Consequently we quantitatively indicate the difference in communication capacity between omni antennas and adaptive antennas.
