Abstract(in English) | This paper presents the transmission performance of a class-IV partial-response SSB and proposes a method that can improve the power utilization efficiency. A line code which has no dc component has been used in SSB transmission of digital signal. However, this type of line code increases the modulation state, and as a result, decreases the power efficiency. To overcome the obstacle, first, the orthogonal phase detection is carried out. Secondly, the quadrature channel which was irrelevant for the conventional SSB demodulation is re-filtered by the Hilbert filter and is added to the in-phase signal. The computer simulation shows that a BER performance improved and a 3dB improvement of the power efficiency is obtained. |
