Abstract(in English) This paper experimentally investigates the effect of carrier frequency calibration of adaptive antenna array transmit diversity (AAA-TD), i.e., the compensation of the transmitter antenna weights so that the direction of the main lobe coincideds with the diection of arrival of the desired user, for transmit power-controlled dedicated physical channel (DPCH) in W-CDMA forward link. The experimental results elucidated that by using AAA-TD with carrier frequency calibration in addition to RF circuitry calibration, the average transmit E_b/N_0 at the avrage BER of 10^<-3> could be decreased by approximately 0.2 and 1.0 dB compared to the case without carrier frequency calibation with 4 and 6 antennas, respectively. It is also shown that in a 4-user environment (3-interfering users), although an error floor above the BER of 10^<-1> was observed with a 1-antenna transmitter due to the severe multipath interference, the average BER of below 10^<-6> was achieved using AAA-TD with 4 antennas, when the ratio of the target E_b/I_0 of the desired user to interfering user for fast TPC was ΔE_b/I_0=-12 dB.
