Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Information and communication services using celluar phones or portable terminals are now popular, but these are similar to those of conventional computers; this often confuses novice users and does not maximize the potential of portable terminals which can provide services depending on user's time, place and occasion. The authors have developed a palm-size wireless communication terminal which reduces the user's effort of finding information and operating terminal with the ubiquitous computing technology. In this paper, we introduce the system and discuss the user interface features for novice users on the terminal.
