Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have proposed Proactive Cache Network architecture which reduces the latencies in WWW accesses. In this paper we propose a network configuration of Proactive Cache Network. In our proposed configuration, cache servers can perform cache prefetching without enlarging the congestions in core network. The existing hierarchical cache configuration which is used in the network edge is not suitable for the core network, because it induces more delays in case of cache miss and its fixed tree structure regardless of the fetching contents results in ineffcient transfer of prefetching contents. To solve these problems, we modified the existing hierarchical cache configuration to suite it to the core network, and we also show the forward server realization which transmits prefetch cache contents in a store and forward fashion in the application layer. Our proposed configuration enables cache servers to perform cache prefetching with keeping the quality of network service.
