Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, in order to enhance reliability of the ATM networks, the virtual path(shortly VP) reservation method using multiagents has been proposed. In this method, given a primary VP and multiple backup VP candidates between each pair of a source node and a destination node, for each pair a backup VP is selected from given multiple backup VP candidates and a pair of a primary VP and a backup VP is reserved so that when some nodes and links in primary VP's fail, the prinmary VP's are able to be changed to the corresponding backup VP's rapidly. In this paper, we describe experimental evaluation of the method with respect to optimality. The experimental results show the method has a good optimality along with increase of the number of backup VP candidates. |
