Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe our design of a remote material control system using IP multicast and development of its prototype system, as a support system for distance learning at more than one places. We show our design of a network protocol, "RMOP(Remote Material Operation Protocol)"to control remote materials used in this system. Also, we evaluate effectiveness, overhead and reliability of a "status advertisement message", which is introduced to improve of reliability of IP multicast.
