Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With widespread wireless infrastructures such as cellular phones and wireless LAN and increasing demand for wireless Qos, assured service, which guarantees relative QoS differentiation among classes in wireline network, is also required in wireless environment. But if conventional schedulers designed for assured service in wired network are used in wireless environment, they cannot guarantee relative QoS differentiation since they have no considerations on location-dependent channel errors of wireless links. In this paper, we propose WWTP (Wireless Waiting-Time Priority) as a scheduling method to provide assured service in wireless environment. WWTP avoids HOL blocking (Head of Line blocking) by transmitting packets even before the head of line packet if its channel is in errors. Furthermore, WWTP tries to prevent QoS degradation by compensating the receiver suffering bad channel according to its weight. With WWTP, relative delay differentiation can be guaranteed in wireless environment.
