Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An architecture of differentiated service receives much attention recently as a promissing architecture for providing a various levels of service. D.Clark and W.Fang introduced RIO(RED with In / Out)queueing scheme and a marking policer that utilized an average sliding window rate estimator and a marker. They showed that target rates of TCP flows could be assured in a simple capacity alocated network that relies on statistical multiplexign. By means of simulations, we investigate effectiveness of their RIO scheme and the making policer on aggregated TCP flows. The mechanisms cna work well for a wide range of target rates, round-trip time and a number of aggregated flows.
