Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to assure high quality of software products, it is necessary to establish the objective and quantitative evaluation method for software projects. This paper presents two research works R1, R2 which estimate software quality by using several metrics data collected from software process as well as software products. The first R1 develops a new software project simulator based on generalized stochastic Petri-net, which can evaluate the software process from the view points of the quality, cost and development period. Next, the second R2 constructs the logistic model to identify risky projects based on project managers'evaluation with respect to five risk factors: requirements, estimation, team, organization, planning capability and project management activity. In both studies, experimental evaluations are done by applying the proposed methods to real software projects at a certain organization.
