Abstract(in English) Future multimedia communication service is now under consideration even over mobile communication channels. The realization of multimedia service over mobile network depends on the development of the error resilient video/audio codecs as well as the development of the next generation mobile communication system which provides high bitrate channels. In this paper, error resilience techniques which adopted to MPEG-4, the latest multimedia coding standard for mobile application, will be introduced with its effect on quality.
