QoS control in IMT-2000 ATM network

Abstract(in English) The 3^-generation mobile communication network, IMT-2000, will be able to provide various multimedia services. The ATM is a key technology to implementing IMT-2000 because it enables heterogeneous services to be multiplexed onto the same transmission line and the quality of service of each service to be guaranteed The AAL type 2 makes it possible to multiplex plural user Connections onto a virtual channel connection and suited to mobile telecommunication. A structure is proposed that handles some QoS conditions on a virtual channel connection. Also proposed is a frame-offset control method that reduces the multiplexing delay by adjusting the timing of frame transmission.
