| 抄録(和) | IPネットワークの性能管理は, ユーザの実感に近い上位レイヤの性能尺度に管理目標を設定するのが理想である. そのため, ネットワーク構成機器(NE)から得られるMIB青報など低レイヤの品質尺度からエンドエンド性能を推定する管理が望まれる. 本稿では, 実験を通して効果的に性能管理パラメータを推定/決定する方法を提案し, 実際に設定すべき管理目標の一例を示した. まず, 負荷やネットワーク構成などを変化させ, 様々な条件下でエンドエンド性能とMIB情報を測定する。測定条件を数量化した後に, 重回帰分析と変数選択を用い, 推定に有効な尺度とそれらを用いた推定方法を求めた. 最後にこの方法をテストベッドネットワークに適用し, 管理閾値を求めた. |
| 抄録(英) | IP network performance management should be carried out by using the performance metrics of end-to-end communication, Therefore, it is necessary to estimate end-to-end performance from lower-layer management objects, such as Management information base (MIB) objects. This paper proposes a new objective mapping method for estimating the end-to-end performance metrics based on lower-layer management objects through measurements. At first, the end-to-end performance metrics and MIB objects with various types of back-ground traffic and/or various network topologies are measured. Next, we use quantification theory to clarify the effects of experimental conditions and MIB objects to the end-to-end performance metrics simultaneously. Multiple linear-regression model and step-wise selection are used to obtain stable and efficient estimation. At last, we apply the proposed method to our test-bed network and clarified the MIB object and its threshold for daily management. |
