Abstract(in English) This article examines ways to build bi-directional multipoint conference system. In the method proposed here, reduction of the load on the CPU of the host computer and of transfer throughput of voice data were attempted with the cut in voice packet. The quality degradation due to the reduction of voice packet was the issue we were afraid of. We, however, designed a method to control quality degradation, and evaluated the actual performance of a trial system adopting the method. As a result, it is confirmed that a bi-directional multipoint conference between 8 points can be realized with utilizing the method proposed. It is also confirmed that transfer throughput of voice packet at conference can be reduced nearly 50%.
