Abstract(in English) Recently voice communication services over IP networks have been developed great deal. For these services, network delay is one of the important factors in degradation of speech quality. It is, therefore, necessary to fully investigate its effects on speech quality for the development of voice over IP. This paper describes the result of the network delay of UDP packet imitating audio packet over Internet. With the result as a prerequisite, we conducted conversation-opinion tests, and have examined the influence which network delay has on Internet Telephone Adaptor.
