Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ATM technoiogy is one of the solutions for integrated service network with guaranteed quality of service (QoS). The PNNI provides a QoS-based dynamic routing mechanism on ATM network, One of the route selection algorithms in the PNNI is two stage fallback routing, which consists of precalculation and on-demand calculation. In this paper, we propose a new precalculation algorithm for the two stage fallback routing that can be applied to PNNI routing, and evaluate it by simulation. Existing algorithm use only the Administrative Weight for precalcuration, Our new algorithm uses the bandwidth, and link utilization in addition to the AW. As the result, our new algorithm provides faster route selection than existing algorithms.
