Study on Data Transmission Method for Multicast Server on IP Multicast over ATM

Abstract(in English) In the paper, a new date transmission method for IP multicast over ATM is proposed. In this method, multiple point-to-multipoint VC's are prepared at the server and each VC are used for data transmission for a different sender. The proposed method will improve data transmission delay compared with mesh method and multicast server method because it decreases VC setup delay sufferd by mesh method and data queueing delay at server sufferd by multicast server method. Computer simulation will show that the proposed method outperforms mesh method and multicast server method.
