A WAN Design Approach Based on Traffic Measurement Feedback

Abstract(in English) For network planners and managers, updating of the design and configuration of networks to keep up with the growing traffic demand is a big and eternal concern as well as the initial design of the entire network. Effective and efficient use of performance measurements obtained from the present network is one of the key issue for the optimization of cost and performance of the network in service. In this paper, we discuss the framework of performance measurement, which compensates the currently available statistics, to realize effective feedback of the measurements to the network design processes.
