| Abstract(in English) | A rapid growth of the Internet and proliferation of new multimedia applications leads to demands of high speed and broadband network technologies. Routers are also necessary to follow up the growth of link bandwidths. From this reason, the "layer-3 router" which combines the high speed hardware switching technology and dynamic routing architecture has been proposed. For high performance routers, however, control parameter sets based on traffic characteristics are requiredl In this paper, we analyze the network traffic using network trace archieves and investigate the Internet traffic characteristics based on statistical analysis. |
