| Abstract(in English) | This paper evaluates the effects of IP packet-loss on MPEG1 audio-visual quality for clarifying how to apply guaranteed-rate technique such as RSVP to the Internet. This also analyzes the effects of picture frame-rate on MPEG1 picture quality. As a result, IP packet-loss was the dominant factor of MPEG1 audio-visual quality degradation compared with the picture frame-rete reduction. Moreover, there was no difference between audio and visual-media contributions on MPEG1 overall quality. |
