Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are challenging the theme ; to what extend an electric imaging system can convey the highly deep artistic impression, and we are pursuing the relevant impotant physical factors. It seems me that test images are made mainly to assess the sharpness and the colorfulness, where the faithfulness is apt to be despised compared to the sharpness and colorfulness. We will propose a new concept on the test image. (1) We have found the importance of the reproduction of the image depth. By an assessment on the image depth, we can avoid the over-enhancements of the contour and the saturation. (2) We will make test images focusing on clear points such as the texture, brilliance, and deepness. (3) for the assessment of the high order overall image quality, we are applying a deep impression photograph of a Japanese Goddess of mercy. The impress of the Goddess of mercy talk to us is important.
