Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On 16th December, 1997, about seven hundred viewers watching an animation program called "Pocket Monster" were suddenly shocked by photosensitive epilepsy when they gazed at the particular scene on TV screen, in which rapid alternation of red and blue background showed the virtual image inside a computer. In this paper, authors refer a study done in United Kingdom for investigating the similar case and describe guidelines about techniques used for animation programs to reduce possibility of photosensitive epilepsy and pattern sensitive epilepsy.
