Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The enforcement of inntellectual property rights is difficult for degital data. One possibiliy to support the enforcement is the embedding of degital watermarks containing information about copyright owner and or receiver of the data. In this report, we present a method for digital watermarking of a digital image by using multiresolution analysis. Subband regions produced by wavelet transform is useful to embed the watermark without visible noise on the image. One of signature bits are then embedded into few pixels on the image. Thus, The watermark can be detected even if the watermarked image is cropped. The watermarked image keeps high quality because of using power energy of multiresolution representation in order to embed the watermark. Our proposal method can help to protect the copyright of degital image.
