A Study on Media Synchronization Control for MPEG Video

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a media synchronization control scheme for MPEG video over internet, where communication quality is not always guaranteed. In order to obtain expected quality of video, five vasic control schemes are introduced. These schemes are classified into one priored real-timeness and one priored quality of contents. As the former, short, change and skip function, and as the latter, pause and smooth function are explained. Efficiency of conbination of these function as well as independent use of each function are evaluated with simulation results.
