Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The fomerly proposed QoS Restoration, a network capability to sustain QoS above the minimum requirements in case of failures or load fractuations, reallocates excessive network resources in a distributed manner. This control may change the existing end-user's QoS. To enhance the ability of managing the larger-scale failures or load fluctuations, we propose the collaboration between network and end-user terminal. This collaboretion enables to absorb the effect of QoS change by using the processing power of end-user's terminal. A proof-of-concept implementation for the proposed architecture and the formerly proposed distributed algorithm has beem completed, and this implementation effectively manages the multiple failures.
