Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Infocom applications that use mobile, multimedia and personal communications arelikely to soon become widespread. Such applications require the ability to coordinate communications that are adapted to dynamically changing environments, e.g., network, end-system and user environments. In this paper, we propose an agent-based architecture for QoS management of media-streams as a framework for applications that adapt to environmental variations. This architecture enhances speed and flexibility through simple mechanisms. We also describe an experimental prototype based on our framework and report results of tests carried out on it.
