Performance Evaluation of Live Media Synchronization in PHS

Abstract(in English) This report proposes a control scheme for synchronization of live video and audio streams in PHS. In order to keep its control algorithm compatible with that for stored media, we adopt a slide control scheme which has been proposed for stored media. We extend the scheme so that the target output time can be modified not only backward but also forward; this modification can reduce the transmission delay for live media. Through simulation we assess the characteristics of this scheme in random error environment and confirm the effectiveness of the scheme.
