Abstract(in English) | To achieve a fair share of a buffer memory among the output port queues in an shared buffer ATM switch, a maximum allowable queue length (a threshold) for each queue should be set. We perform a transient analysis of the buffer state of the ATM switch which employs a dynamic queue length threshold scheme, then approximately derive the queue length distribution and the cell loss probability. |
