Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to interconnect a legacy LAN with an ATM network, an edge device, such as a router, must segment/reassemble packets/cells. In this paper, we focus on the packet reassembly performed in a router. Via simulation, we investigate the packet loss and the packet delay characteristics under AAL3/4 and AAL5 employment.
