Abstract(in English) With the recent rapid growth of the Internet, the Internet telephony has been highlighted to the purpose of decreasing telecommunications cost. Technology innovation, however, makes it possible to build up the Internet telephony system which can transfer good quality of voice when comparatively guaranteed IP networks are used. It also shows great potential to create variety of multimedia applications to handle voice communications over IP networks. "VocaLink" is the Internet telephony system targeting Intranet, developed to replace the conventional telephony systems and handle voice data over IP networks as just a sort of multimedia. This paper focuses on the design architecture of "VocaLink" and describes some applications of "VocaLink" as well.
