Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In new communication services in rapidly expanding modern telecommunication networks, signal processing platforms, which are superior in terms of software reusability, system maintainability and flexibility, are much required for continuous improvement and expansion of signal processing functions in communication quality evaluation management systems. In this paper, a multi-DSP processing agent system is proposed as the platform, and multi-DSP software development approaches with support by tools are also described. Users with little experience in using a DSP software language can easily develop multi-DSP and VME/CPU software by introducing a technique to control DSPs by a VME/CPU for synchronous interworking among DSPs. For real-time high speed signal processing, additional DSP software converted from the VME/CPU software is very effective to synchronize DSPs under the control of a master DSP.
