Abstract(in English) | Flow visualization of velocity field is applicable to many field. We have proposed new methods of 2D and 3D optical flow of fluid based on Navier-Stokes motion equations (NSE) (physics method), where some boundary conditions are given from a priori knowledge of the flow configuration. The optical flow is obtained by minimizing the mean square errors of a basic constraint and the matching error terms with visual data using Euler equations. However, when we apply the method to 2D practical images, it is difficult to decrease the errors because of gravitation term. In this paper, we apply a finite element method to the resultant boundary values estimated by physics based method to improve the errors. |
