Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Video portal for a media space can be defined as a system which helps a user's access through various kinds of media segments such as image, text, audio and video segments. In order to build video portal, we deal with structured video with metadata. The structure of video is defined in terms of DTD, and the metadata of video is described with XML according to the DTD. In this paper, video portal for the media space of structured video is proposed for the sports application domain, and its usefulness is verified based on a prototype system's performance.
