Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A chance that we communicate with others on the Internet is increasing. Chat systems are one means of online communication. However, their interfaces are so poor in expression, that they can't meet the various needs of users. Visual chat systems have developed in recent years, but they are not improved in expressivity. In this paper, we propose a new interface model that draws characters moving around on the screen. For the purpose of a demonstration system, we developed a chat client software with such interface, and released it on a website. It's based on the IRC system. We are gathering responses to the software online now.
