Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study was to develop motion learning system for breaststroke by VRML. The swimming motion in breaststroke of a Japanese top swimmer was recorded by using 4 synchronized video cameras. Three dimensional coordinates of body segments were obtained with DLT techniques. The model reproducing the motion of the swimmer according to the coordinates was scripted with VRML. Using this system, observer can see the motion of the model from the changeable visual point and field interactively. Then, Questionaire by the rating scale method was carried out, and 89% of the subjects answered that it was effective in learning of the breaststroke with this system as a result. We considered this system to be useful in case of motor learning such as physical education or coaching of motor skill.
