Abstract(in English) Recently, haptic force-feedback device is developed actively, and it seems that haptic media will be in widespread use. We focus on a SVEs(Shared Virtual Environments)including such a haptic interface, and estimate a network QoS(Quality of Service)needed. Now, we are doing some research on the effect of network delay, packet loss, and destroying media synchronization over hatpic force-feedback system. In this paper, on the basis of these studies we propose a networked force-feedback system with haptic display(PHANToM), and investigate the effect of network delay.
