A proposal of an advanced mailing-list system using a category-map reflected users' interests

Abstract(in English) As the INTERNET continues to grow , the activities of electronic-communities (ex.Mailing-list) through the INTERNETattract attention. In this situation, CommunityWare supporting these communities over the INTERNET has been desired. This paper targets a mailng-list and examines the effective functions of this electronic-community through the analysis of the exchanged information in this actvity. As the results of this analysis, We found that it is important to form adaptive communities reflected users'interests in order to get useful information efficiently. thus, we propose an advanced mailing-list system called "FAVORITE" , which can provide useful information efficiently by using a category-map reflected users'intersts.
