Abstract(in English) | We investigated the difference in visual evoked potentials(VEP) induced by the presentation of two checkerflag patterns. One was a ordinary luminance defined pattern reversal and the other was a motion defined pattern reversal using random dot kinematogram(RDK). The VEP wave forms elicited by both patterns revealed a similar triphasic NPN pattern. However the latency of P2 by RDK was much longer than that by pattern reversal. The difference was nearly 100ms. Reduced checker's size and increased noise density in RDK presentation also increased the latency of P2. It was suggested that the discrepancy in the responses was resulted from different information processing in visual cortex. |
