| 抄録(和) | 本稿では, 動画像中の対象物体をトラッキング・抽出する新しい手法を提案する.従来, 前フレームの抽出結果をもとに次フレームの抽出を行うという前後2フレームのframe by frameの処理が主流であった.一方画像を時間軸に沿って並べ時空間内での3次元的な表現をとると対象物体は筒状に存在する形となり, その筒の表面が各フレームにおける対象物体の輪郭に相当する.そこで提案手法では時間方向に拡張した3次元watershedによって時空間の3次元データを背景領域と対象物体の2つの領域に分割し, 対象物体の各フレームにおける正確な輪郭を求めることを試みた.いくつかの画像で実験を行った結果, ある程度の動きを伴った物体に対しても輪郭に忠実にトラッキングを行えるという結果を得た. |
| 抄録(英) | This paper proposes a novel technique for target object tracking/extraction in an image sequence. The current state-of-the-art approach is a frame-by-frame processing, where the contour in a current frame is obtained based on one in the previous frame. By arranging each frame along with the temporal axis in a spatio-temporal 3D space, a target object in motion appears as a tube in this space and the surface of the tube corresponds to the target contours. This technique splits the 3D space into the background and object regions by applying 3D watershed algorithm which is an extended version of the conventional 2D one, and obtains precise contours for the object. Several experimental results given in this paper demonstrate that the technique can successfully keep tracking for an object with a certain measure of motion. |
