Abstract(in English) To retrieve video scene from stored video data, we developed a video retrieving system based on automatic speech recognition (ASR) and meta-data technology, Meta-data generator produce a time sequence of CV/V C lattice structured data by ASR as a meta-data. The meta-data is encoded as Packetized Elementary Stream (PES) and multiplexed into MPEG-2 Transport Stream with video and audio PES. In meta-data retrieval section, the CV/VC lattice sequence data is connected in time order and then compare d with the inputted keyword by DP matching. Assuming to be used on TV news programs, we performed retrieval experiment using some sentences, and got the result of about 80% in accuracy.
