Abstract(in English) | This paper presents an efficient method for assigning information about video contents to video scenes as an index with the help of feature matching of video sequences. The method provides a function that automatically detects all scenes similar to a user-selected sample from target video sequences by feature matching between the sample and the target. Therefore, a user can simultaneously assign the same information to all target scenes having the same content as the sample through browsing only the detected scenes. It is evaluated using a video sequence of a baseball game. The results show that a user can finish a video indexing operation in a very short time compared with the case he or she sequentially checks the whole video though it causes a little omission of similar scene detection. |
